BCCI has a right to host IPL If T20 World Cup postponed says Michael Holding

Former West Indies fast bowler Michael Holding believes that if the T20 World Cup is postponed, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has all the rights to hold the IPL later this year.

Former West Indies great fast bowler Michael Holding has made a big statement about the Indian Premier League. Holding believes that if the T20 World Cup in Australia is postponed at the end of this year, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has the right to organize the Indian Premier League (IPL) in this year.

For your information, let us tell you that in many media reports, it is being claimed that in view of the Kovid-19 pandemic, the T-20 World Cup between October 18 and November 15 can be postponed. It is being said that the BCCI can work on organizing IPL during this time.

‘BCCI gets IPL right if T20 World Cup doesn’t happen’

Michael Holding said in a conversation with Nikhil Naz on Instagram, “I don’t think the ICC will delay the T20 World Cup so that the IPL can be held.” This is the law of the Australian Government, where they will not allow anyone to enter the country before a certain date.

He further said, “If the T20 World Cup is not organized on time, then the BCCI has the right to organize the IPL.”

Significantly, the decision to postpone the T20 World Cup can be taken on 10 June. According to the sources, in the last meeting of the ICC, three points were discussed for holding the World Cup. But it was not agreed to push the tournament forward or postpone it till 2021.

BCCI to lose 4 thousand crore rupees if IPL is not there

Explain that if the IPL 2020 is not organized by the end of this year, then the BCCI will incur a loss of about 4 thousand crores. In such a situation, it is expected that ICC can give preference to this world’s largest T20 league instead of the World Cup.

IPL was to be held from 29th March

It is noteworthy that IPL 2020 was to be held from 29 March, but it has been postponed indefinitely in view of the coronavirus epidemic. However, it is being said that the BCCI is considering organizing the league at the end of September. Along with this, there are talks about this league being abroad.
