Gautam Gambhir said on MS Dhoni’s Retirement age is just a Statistic

New Delhi: Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir said on Saturday that as long as Mahendra Singh Dhoni is fit and in form, he should keep playing international cricket. On July 07, Dhoni, 39, has not played international cricket since India’s exit from the semi-finals in the 2019 World Cup last year.

Dhoni is fit till he should keep playing- Gambhir

Gambhir said that age is a figure. If you are in good form and beating the ball well, then you should keep playing. MS Dhoni is in good form and is enjoying his game. If he feels that he can still win the match for the country, especially by batting at number six and seven, then he should keep playing.

Gambhir said in the Star Sports show ‘Cricket Connected’, if he is in form and fit, then he should play continuously. No one can force them to retire. Many experts can put pressure on players like Dhoni regarding age, but this is a personal decision.

This time the IPL is bigger than all the IPL- Gambhir

Regarding the IPL event in the UAE due to Coronavirus epidemic, Gambhir said that it does not matter where the IPL is happening. If it is happening in the UAE, then it is a great place to play any format. This will also change people’s mood. That is why this IPL is bigger than the rest of the IPL, because I think it is for the country.
