Former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria has appealed to his cricket board and said that the ban on him should be removed from the year 2013. Kaneria was banned due to spot fixing. He is still the highest wicket taker for Pakistan in Tests. In such a situation, Kaneria believes that he wants to play domestic cricket and this will happen only when the board removes the ban on him.

In a letter to Pakistan Cricket Board chief Ehsan Mani, 39-year-old Kaneria requested him to repeal the ban, which would allow Kaneria to live his life through sports.

Kaneria was punished by the PCB after he lost an appeal against the life ban imposed on him by the English and Wales Cricket Board in 2012.

On several occasions, Kaneria has argued that if past criminals such as Mohammad Aamir and Salman Butt could be allowed to play even after their restrictions, then by giving them a chance to earn their livelihood with “only awarded skills” It is unfair to deny.

Kaneria, who was found guilty of spot-fixing with Mervyn Westfield while playing for English County Essex against Durham in 2009, has been pleading for PCB’s help for a long time. Kaneria is the only Hindu to play for Pakistan after his maternal uncle Anil Dalpat, who took 261 wickets in 61 Tests at an average of 34.79. At the same time, he has played 18 ODIs from 2000 to 2010.
