Rob Gronkowski's WWE career is already over - criticism of Nia Jax boils up again after Kairi Sane's injury - new contract for Kurt Angle?

– In yesterday’s edition of Monday Night RAW, Rob Gronkowski lost the WWE 24/7 Championship to record-holder R-Truth and, as has now been leaked, this was the end of Rob Gronks’ WWE career. After the 31-year-old had only signed a wrestler contract in March, his career had ended before he even played a real match. At the end of April, he had been traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by the New England Patriots, and it was already apparent that the NFL star was planning a retirement and would play for Tampa next season. It was also foreseeable that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would not allow him to step into the ring as a wrestler on the side.

Rob Gronk has an exit clause in his WWE contract, which he is now drawing to continue his NFL career. From then on, he no longer had any contractual obligations towards WWE, but a clause does stipulate that he may not act for other wrestler companies for a while. WWE’s plans for the three-time Super Bowl champion included a first big match at the “WWE SummerSlam” PPV before he was scheduled to play a second big match at a pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia later this year. So far, there have been no plans beyond these two matches.

– Last week we reported that Kairi Sane had a bloody laceration on the tapes for Monday Night RAW when Nia Jax pushed her outside the ring against the ring stairs. After some fans had already identified Nia Jax as the culprit without seeing the scenes, there were reports that people within WWE didn’t blame anything. Rather, Kairi stumbled or wanted to make the action look too good. After the spot was broadcast last night, the mood changed again.

Because now it was evident that Nia had pushed her opponent with force at the shortest distance in the direction of the ring staircase, contrary to what Kairi previously said, it was evident that Kairi had no control over the bump. An angry WWE employee was very critical of Jax against Bryan Alvarez and even explained that she should be fired before she “cripples” anyone. In recent years, Nia in the ring has repeatedly been noticed by awkward actions, which in some cases led to injuries to her colleagues. Kairi Sane also posted a picture of the wound on Twitter last night:

– According to a report by wrestlingnews.co, Kurt Angle is about to sign a new WWE contract. The WWE Hall of Famer, who most recently worked as a producer for the company, had only been dismissed in April as part of the wave of layoffs and is currently still in the 90-day phase in which it may not appear for other promotions. It is said that some high-ranking officials do not want to lose him to the competition. In an interview with Tim Adams from CBR, the Olympic champion now indirectly confirmed discussions with WWE. Accordingly, he was offered to work as Matt Riddle’s on-air manager at Smackdown. However, he declined the offer for various reasons, the timing was not the right one. However, at least one video was recorded for the last issue of “Friday Night Smackdown”, in which he hyped the early arrival of Matt Riddle.

Jeff Hardy has renewed his WWE contract!

– There won’t be a reunion of the Hardys in the next few years, because Jeff Hardy has extended his WWE contract! What the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy already hinted at in an interview with BT Sport recently has now been confirmed by Dave Meltzer. Jeff and his brother Matt had both signed 3-year contracts in 2017, but Jeff’s contract was unilaterally extended by WWE because the 43-year-old had been sidelined for a long time due to injuries and personal problems. While Matt left the market leader after the contract ended and signed with All Elite Wrestling, Jeff was bound even longer. But now he has signed a new contract that ties him to WWE for either 3 years or even 5 years.

– Meanwhile, WrestleVotes reports that another WWE Superstar recently decided not to renew his contract but to leave the company after his current contract ends. No information was given about who it was.

– For the past two weeks, Friday Night SmackDown has been broadcasting videos announcing the arrival of a blonde female wrestler. Meanwhile it is becoming apparent that this is Carmella, who will return to the shows with a new gimmick. The 32-year-old has not been part of the WWE shows since May, although it is unknown why she was absent. She played her last match on May 10 at the “Money in the Bank” PPV.

– Ivar is undergoing neck surgery this Monday in Birmingham, Alabama. It is still unclear which injury the Viking Raider sustained, but he is threatened with a break of at least a year. Todd Smith, his real name, had previously struggled with neck problems, which were exacerbated by the unsuccessful dive last week. The injury could also be very bad news for his tag team partner Erik. Injury to a tag team wrestler at WWE very often means that his partner also wastes the shows. Erik’s defeat to Lashley yesterday in just 2 minutes should not be a good sign for the 36-year-old.

– Dominik Mysterio made it to the top of WWE within a few weeks. As the PWInsider reports, the WWE officials already count the 23-year-old among the top 3 or top 4 baby faces in the RAW roster. Rey Mysterio’s son has more than just convinced the WWE officials since his first match at the “WWE SummerSlam” and there is currently no end in sight to his push.
