WWE Monday Night RAW # 1410
Location: WWE Performance Center Orlando, Florida, USA
First broadcast: June 01, 2020

WWE Monday Night RAW 1410 Today’s edition starts with a short preview of our main event of the evening. WWE Champion Drew McIntyre meets M.V.P. We also get a champion vs. Champion match. RAW Women’s Champion Asuka meets NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. The newly minted United States Champion Apollo Crews is defending its title against a not yet known challenger. But it starts with the “Monday Night Messiah” Seth Rollins. Rey Mysterio’s possible end of career follows. The latter was attacked by that Rollins a few weeks ago and seriously injured in the eye. In this ceremony Seth would like to announce the end of Mysterio’s career. Together with Austin Theory and Murphy, the Messiah is now ready in the ring and gets many “You Suck” chants from the NXT Superstars in the audience area. Rey will comment on his injury today. However, Seth has a bad feeling about whether Rey will be able to announce the end of his long career. That is why Rollins will do the right thing and stand by Mysterio as a true leader and help him. After all, the sacrifice of Rey Mysterio is said to have been in vain. With this offering, RAW will reach the next level. Of course, nobody will forget what a legend Mysterio is. Therefore, the “Messiah” has prepared a corresponding video for us. A video follows showing the greatest moments from the Mexican. We see his Royal Rumble victory from 2006. The following Wrestlemania 22, where Rey was crowned World Heavyweight Champion. But finally we see Seth’s attack and in the ring, the “Messiah” applauds the future Hall of Famer. Rollins would also be ready to speak the laudatory speech when Mysterio was recorded. Now the music of Aleister Black sounds. This runs into the ring and starts on Seth Rollins. The latter, however, quickly escapes from the ring and the first interruption of the evening follows.

1st match | WWE Monday Night RAW # 1410
Singles match
Aleister Black won against Seth Rollins (w / Murphy & Austin Theory) via pin after Rollins was distracted by Carrillo.
Match time: 21:06
– During the match, Humberto Carrillo came out to stand by Black.

After the match, Rollins, Murphy and Theory Black and Carrillo attack. Aleister Black is arrested to see what Seth does to Carrillo. Next comes a stomp against Humberto and then against Aleister Black. The “Messiah” looks satisfied towards the camera and is now on the way to the backstage area.

Commentators Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton and Samoa Joe talk about the new WWE Network Option. You get a lot of content and you don’t pay money for it. There is also a brand new show. “RAW Talk” celebrates its debut after today’s show. You can get more information HERE.

We see a review of the United States Championship match between Andrade and Apollo Crews. Crews were able to assert themselves and make their dream come true. His first title win in the WWE. Next, we see Charly Caruso. She is the guest of Angel Garza and Zelina Vega. We are shown Garza’s win against Kevin Owens last week. Garza talks about his success from the previous week and he doesn’t care what other people think, how he posted this success. Garza flirts extensively with Caruso, who is extremely enthusiastic about him. She even gets a rose as a present. To her horror, that rose is destroyed by Zelina Vega.

This Sunday “NXT Takeover: In Your House” takes place. The commentators hyped the event and then went for the “backlash” pay-per-view. Last week Ric Flair commented on the match between Randy Orton and Edge. The match between the two is called the “best match ever”. Now another Hall of Famer comments on the possible outcome of that match. Shawn Michaels names the “Rated R Superstar” Edge as his personal favorite in this argument.

Next, there is a review of the V.I.P. Lounge last week. Drew McIntyre missed M.V.P. a claymore kick. Later that evening, the latter performed with Bobby Lashley in the main event on RAW Tag Team Champions Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins in a non-title match. In the end, a big brawl broke out between McIntyre and Lashley. The two could hardly be separated. Later in the evening, we see the match between Drew McIntyre and M.V.P.

Lana talks backstage with M.V.P. She complains about the past few weeks and the brainwashing he’s giving her husband. However, M.V.P. unaffected by these allegations. The host of the V.I.P. Accuse Lounge Lana of brainwashing. This results in a slap in the face against M.V.P. and Lana then leaves the scene.

We are shown highlights from the Seth Rollins promo at the beginning of the show and the subsequent match with Aleister Black. Later Rey Mysterio will comment on his possible career end.

Kayla Braxton is in the ring and announces the new United States Champion Apollo Crews. A beaming crew goes into the ring for the following interview. Kayla congratulates Apollo on winning the title. He is extremely happy about this milestone in his career. About his next opponent, Crews thinks that he really deserves this title opportunity. It’s Kevin Owens! He also comes into the ring and congratulates Apollo on winning the title. But Owens cannot take this chance. Crews doesn’t quite understand and assures Owens definitely deserves such an opportunity! Kevin corrects the champion and says that he is annoyed with his loss to Garza. But nobody deserves more than himself to get a chance like this. Rather, it bothers Owens that he will make this reign of Apollo a very short one.

2nd match | WWE Monday Night RAW # 1410
WWE United States Championship
Singles match
Apollo Crews (c) vs. Kevin Owens ended in a no-contest after Angel Garza and Andrade attacked the two opponents.
Match time: 10:21

The following Tag Team Match was officially made during the advertising break.

3rd match | WWE Monday Night RAW # 1410
Tag team match
United States Champion Apollo Crews & Kevin Owens won against Andrade & Angel Garza (w / Zelina Vega) via pin after a sit-down power bomb.
Match time: 04:57

Kayla Braxton interviewed RAW Women’s Champion Asuka. She asked the Japanese about her match today against Charlotte Flair and also about her match against Nia Jax on “Backlash”. Asuka looks very confident and makes it clear that she will not bow to anyone. Not in front of Nia Jax and especially not in front of Charlotte Flair.

After the interruption, the next chapter in the competition between the Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) and the Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar). This time the two teams meet in a bowling match.

After a basketball victory for street profits, the Viking Raiders won an ax throw. Last week the RAW Tag Team Champions took a 2-1 lead in the overall score when they were able to prove themselves in the golf as the better ones. Now we are in the bowling hall and it looks like Erik and Ivar have a clear advantage in this competition. After a short break and a strengthening with goat milk, it continues. In one scene, Erik and Ivar even pulled a ham leg out of the bowling machine. Ivar seems to be very hungry and loots the kitchen of the hall. This almost results in being thrown out. But the owner takes a liking to Ivar and the competition can continue. Ford and Dawkins are now turning the hall into a kind of disco. With appropriate music, lights and fog, the street profits find their way into the game and even take the lead! The Viking Raiders can sink their last bowling ball including Ivar and win with 131: 130 and thus compensate for the overall score of this feud.

Next there is a review of the issue a week ago. There was a verbal battle between WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss and IIconics. After the break, Nikki Cross meets Billie Kay.

  1. Match
    Singles match
Billie Kay (w / Peyton Royce) won against WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Nikki Cross (w / Alexa Bliss) via pin after a sit-down uranage.
    Match time: 05:06

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre can be seen backstage. Charly Caruso comes in and asks the Scots about today’s match against M.V.P. Drew generally has no problem with any challenge. The same applies to M.V.P. and Bobby Lashley. McIntyre even hopes that Lashley will be there today so that he too can enjoy a Claymore kick.

Today’s guests at “RAW Talk” are Seth Rollins and the Street Profits and the Viking Raiders.

Rey Mysterio is now switched on from his home. He can’t say anything more about his comeback yet. The risk of possible infection makes the matter very complicated. Samoa Joe now asks directly and wants to know if Rey wants to announce the end of his career today. Mysterio does not answer this question in the affirmative, but neither can he be sure that he will really return. Now Mysterio’s son Dominik comes along and is very upset. He thinks someone should really beat up Seth Rollins. The best is someone from this family. But he is quickly interrupted by Rey and the two talk briefly in Spanish. Now Rey responds to Seth and he curses the “Messiah” for everything he did to him and his family. Rey then disappears and Dominik remains behind. He directs a few final words towards Rollins and then disappears as well.

Nia Jax comes out for her match and wants to say a few words beforehand. She underlines that she didn’t start this whole story and now Jax is portrayed as the villain. However, she was attacked by Asuka Backstage. The whole reign of Asuka is a joke anyway, because Becky got pregnant and the title was handed over to the Japanese. That’s why Nia Asuka will be exposed as a swindler at “Backlash” and at the same time secure the title.

Last Monday there was a confrontation between R-Truth and 24/7 champion Rob Gronkowski. We now see a video that shows us Gronk in his garden. A friend of his films him dancing. R-Truth is disguised as a gardener and Gronk’s friend turns out to be a referee! Truth sneaks up from behind and rolls up Rob Gronkowski. The referee counts up to three and we have a new 24/7 champion! -> change of title!

5th match | WWE Monday Night RAW # 1410
Singles match
Nia Jax won against Kairi Sane via pin after a leg drop.
Match time: 03:19

After Jax’s dominant win, Asuka comes running into the ring to confront her. But Nia doesn’t want to know anything about it and withdraws. The two meet at “Backlash” in a RAW Women’s Championship match.

After Edge commented on his match against Randy Orton last week, it’s Viper’s turn. Over the past few weeks and months, Orton has looked at a lot of material on the WWE Network and has reminded himself why Ric Flair is considered one of the best in this business. That Ric Flair said something similar about Randy Orton. Edge repeatedly assumes that Orton has fallen into his hands because of his name. Because of his father. Randy also confirms this accusation. Ultimately, however, it took more than a name to achieve all that the “Viper” achieved. Nobody can claim to have been as successful in the last decade as Randy Orton, not even an Edge. That’s why he will put on his wrestling boots at “Backlash” and show Edge why he was so successful and why a Ric Flair compares him to the best in business. In the end, Edge’s return, which started out like a fairy tale, will end up like a nightmare, with what is arguably the most devastating move in WWE history, R.K.O.

Charlotte Flair stands ready in the ring and has a microphone in her hand. This Sunday she will defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Io Shirai and Rhea Ripley at the “NXT Takeover: In Your House”. Flair wants the NXT superstars to bow to her in the audience area. After all, she is the ideal role model for these aspiring superstars and the “Queen” absolutely wants some of these women to be the next stars of this company at NXT. A woman who has a lot of experience bowing to the “Queen” is Asuka. She reminds us of all the successes of the Japanese woman and compares it to her own successes. She assumes that Asuka would very much like to be like Flair. The next moment she is interrupted by the music of Asuka and it is time for the champion vs. Champion match.

6th match | WWE Monday Night RAW # 1410
Champion vs. Champion Singles Match
RAW Women’s Champion Asuka against NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair ended in the no contest when Nia Jax disguised as Asuka interrupted the match and attacked the Japanese.
Match time: 09:33

Lana is a guest of Charly Caruso. The latter asked Lana about her confrontation with M.V.P. before. The Russian is 100% sure that Bobby Lashley from M.V.P. is influenced and he doesn’t want Lana at his side. She realizes that Lashley doesn’t want to have her with him during “his” matches, but no one said anything about it when M.V.P. to take part. The Russian disappears with a big smile.

7th match
(Non-title) singles match
WWE Champion Drew McIntyre won against M.V.P. (w / Lashley & Lana) via pin after the Claymore Kick.
Match time: 02:56

After the match, Lashley McIntyre immediately attacks and uses a full Nelson lock. With the WWE Champion unable to break free, today’s show goes off-air.

Jeff Hardy has renewed his WWE contract!

Jeff Hardy has renewed his WWE contract!

Jeff Hardy has renewed his WWE contract!

– There won’t be a reunion of the Hardys in the next few years, because Jeff Hardy has extended his WWE contract! What the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy already hinted at in an interview with BT Sport recently has now been confirmed by Dave Meltzer. Jeff and his brother Matt had both signed 3-year contracts in 2017, but Jeff’s contract was unilaterally extended by WWE because the 43-year-old had been sidelined for a long time due to injuries and personal problems. While Matt left the market leader after the contract ended and signed with All Elite Wrestling, Jeff was bound even longer. But now he has signed a new contract that ties him to WWE for either 3 years or even 5 years.

– Meanwhile, WrestleVotes reports that another WWE Superstar recently decided not to renew his contract but to leave the company after his current contract ends. No information was given about who it was.

– For the past two weeks, Friday Night SmackDown has been broadcasting videos announcing the arrival of a blonde female wrestler. Meanwhile it is becoming apparent that this is Carmella, who will return to the shows with a new gimmick. The 32-year-old has not been part of the WWE shows since May, although it is unknown why she was absent. She played her last match on May 10 at the “Money in the Bank” PPV.

– Ivar is undergoing neck surgery this Monday in Birmingham, Alabama. It is still unclear which injury the Viking Raider sustained, but he is threatened with a break of at least a year. Todd Smith, his real name, had previously struggled with neck problems, which were exacerbated by the unsuccessful dive last week. The injury could also be very bad news for his tag team partner Erik. Injury to a tag team wrestler at WWE very often means that his partner also wastes the shows. Erik’s defeat to Lashley yesterday in just 2 minutes should not be a good sign for the 36-year-old.

– Dominik Mysterio made it to the top of WWE within a few weeks. As the PWInsider reports, the WWE officials already count the 23-year-old among the top 3 or top 4 baby faces in the RAW roster. Rey Mysterio’s son has more than just convinced the WWE officials since his first match at the “WWE SummerSlam” and there is currently no end in sight to his push.

Jeff Hardy has renewed his WWE contract!
